Page2AE is a desktop application that turns web pages into editable After Effects projects. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it minimal.
Page2AE runs on your computer. When you capture a page, the browser automation, DOM analysis, and file generation all happen locally; the resulting project files are written to your own machine. The web pages you capture are not sent to us.
To validate your trial or license, the app contacts our licensing service with a randomized device identifier (a hash — not your name or hardware serial) and, if you have one, your license key. We use this only to confirm your access and to apply usage limits.
If you use the optional AI polish pass on a paid plan, a screenshot of the captured screen and the reconstructed text are sent to our processing service and on to our AI provider solely to return layout corrections. This data is used only to fulfill that request and is not used to train models by us.
Purchases are handled by our payment provider, Polar, acting as Merchant of Record. Your payment details are processed by Polar and never touch our servers. See Polar's privacy policy for details of their processing.
